Why Should You Consider Selling Now?

As we like to say, “Every time is a good time to sell your home,” and the winter months are no exception. In fact, there are several reasons why now is a great time to sell your home. 

First, you’ll face less competition. A lot of would-be sellers are waiting until springtime to list, but there are a lot of buyers out there now, and there aren’t many homes for them to look at. These same buyers also tend to be more serious with their intentions. It’s not very desirable to move in cold temperatures while there’s snow on the ground, so you know a buyer really needs to buy soon if they’re looking at homes in the winter. Additionally, January and February are the most popular job relocation months.

Historically, November and December tend to be some of our busiest months as far as closings go because a lot of buyers want to buy before the end of the year to capitalize on tax benefits. It’s for this same reason that a lot of investment properties are bought and sold during this time.
