What Has 2020 Taught Us?

Here’s a quick overview of what 2020 has taught us in real estate.

2020 has been the type of year that no one could’ve predicted, and it’s changed the course of so many people’s lives. What lessons has it taught us in the real estate industry?

The first is the advancement of technology. We’ve been able to use the latest technology to complete virtual document signings, host virtual home tours, etc. People have still been able to buy homes without first visiting them in person. Before 2020, it was very unlikely we would have been able to convince someone to buy a house without first physically walking through it, but that exact thing happened at a pretty decent rate. 

We’ll always be a resource for you, no matter what kind of real estate needs you have.

In other words, the real estate market didn’t shut down. We Realtors weren’t able to physically show homes, but closings still transpired. A lot of things were being done virtually to ensure direct contact between buyers and sellers so they could work together to get homes sold. At the end of the day, we’re all working toward a common goal, and we don’t see that changing—no matter the environment. As we approach winter, there’s talk about a second COVID shutdown on the horizon, but whether that happens or not, we’ll still be able to conduct business without any real slowdown. 

It’s safe to say 2020 has been a bit of a dumpster fire for a lot of us. Some of us taught ourselves some new tricks, others got very good at watching Netflix. Regardless, we’ll always be a resource for you, no matter what kind of real estate needs you have. If anything, we’re more prepared now as a team to handle any situation that gets thrown at us.
