A Cinco De Mayo History Lesson

Here’s a brief lesson about Cinco de Mayo and why we celebrate it.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Grab your favorite cerveza, some chips and guacamole, and join us for a quick lesson about this great holiday. 

Many people are under the impression that today is Mexico’s Independence Day. However, that’s on September 16. Cinco De Mayo actually commemorates the Battle of Puebla between Mexico and France in 1862.

How does this relate to real estate? In a way, we go into the trenches with our clients each day to land them properties. We also see the value in land and want other people to see that value, too. We can all relate to the importance and pride of ownership of having your own land.
