It might not be the best time for you to buy a house right now. However, every buyer is unique, so we have to look at your individual situation. Homes are selling over their asking price right now, and a lot of buyers are in competition for homes and driving up appraisal prices. At the same time, this can leave you underwater pretty quickly.

We’ve started to counsel our buyers about what would happen if they purchased a home now for more than its market value, and what that means a few years down the line when they need to sell. 

Another thing that we want to consider is waiving certain inspections. Depending on your tolerance level, it could be a good time for you. It could also be a time to wait. It’s all about your situation, what your goals are, and what you can afford.
